Small Basic

If you have been reading SmallBasic.co.uk and like the sound of Small Basic, you can give it a try easily by downloading it for free from microsoft.

There are very little system requirements needed to run small basic, since it is so small and designed to be sleek and simple to use it will run on pretty much any computer, as long as you are running windows you should be fine to run it. Small basic does require the latest .Net Framework (3.5) but this will be installed automatically for you once you download small basic. Its very easy to download and install and you will be up and running in no time at all. Once you have downloaded small basic you can then double click the .msi to get it installed, the installation wizard is quick and shouldnt take more than a few minutes to install your new programming environment (commonly called IDE.)

Once you have installed Small basic you can start writing code strait away – why not try writing a simple few lines using its wonderful intellisense features – full explanations of each is given on the right hand side of your smallbasic window!

At current Small Basic hasn’t been confirmed to run smoothly on windows 7, but we think it will likely run fine. Download small basic from above and let us know if you are running the new windows!
